I, Tess Powell, founded Lunar Rising in 2020 after experiencing firsthand how easily a small business’s online presence can fall through the cracks. Having studied business management and environmental design in college, I first put those skills to use by helping market my dad’s restoration company. In the process, I discovered his business wasn’t even Google-verified and had out-of-date contact information—issues I realized are losing the business leads and therefore revenue, which likely affected many other small businesses as well.

 

Fixing those problems for my family’s company and seeing the growth from remedying the problems opened my eyes and sent me down a rabbit hole of optimizing websites for better search visibility, all while making sure the design truly resonates with each business’s unique brand identity and target market.

My mission is to work hand-in-hand with small business owners on their brand, website, and SEO. I’m dedicated to supporting their vision and goals by building a strong digital foundation—one that ensures all their other marketing efforts succeed once potential customers land on their site. This work is personal to me, and I bring both professionalism and passion to every project—because nothing inspires me more than seeing local businesses thrive.
